About True Body Freedom

I’m Maan — a Registered Nurse, Certified Health Coach, and former pharmaceutical professional who refused to accept that chronic illness was my only future.

For over 20 years I worked in healthcare, including 12 years in the pharmaceutical industry. From the outside, I looked successful. Inside, my body was breaking down.

In my 30s, I was living with fibromyalgia, hypermobility syndrome, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, and up to seven debilitating migraines a month. I was told my conditions were genetic. Chronic. Lifelong. That I would likely need medication forever.

I felt trapped in a body that wasn’t working.

But what I didn’t yet understand was that my body wasn’t broken — it was metabolically overwhelmed. Years of chronic stress, nervous system overload, gut dysfunction, and blood sugar instability had created the perfect storm for inflammation and illness. Yet the system I worked in focused on prescriptions, not root causes.

Everything changed when I began studying the body’s regulatory systems — including the endocannabinoid system — and questioning why we weren’t supporting the body’s ability to restore balance.

In 2016, a photo of myself became my turning point. I realized I had spent years waiting to be fixed. That moment pushed me to take responsibility for my health.

I began focusing on foundations:

- blood sugar regulation

- real food nutrition

- nervous system healing

- intermittent fasting

- cold exposure and nature connection

Slowly, my migraines disappeared. My pain faded. My digestion healed. My energy returned.

I’ve now been pharmaceutical‑free for eight years.

My journey taught me this: many modern illnesses — especially in high‑performing women — are rooted in metabolic overload, chronic stress, and disconnection from our biology.

Today, I help ambitious women restore their metabolic health, particularly when early insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes begins to appear — because these conditions are often reversible when addressed early.

My work blends clinical nursing expertise, behavior change coaching, root‑cause health principles, and nervous system regulation.

I believe the body is not broken.

It is responding to the environment we place it in.

And when we change that environment, the body remembers how to heal.

My mission is simple:

To help high‑performing women thrive in both their success and their health — without sacrificing one for the other.
